Summer camps & coaching
No matter the level of coaching, your man is likely working a few camps to pick up some extra money and connections! While incredibly rewarding, these camps are also pretty exhausting- on him and on the wife that is taking care of things at home in his absence. During these times it's hard to get back into the schedule of the coaching grind.
Here are my tips:
+Still try your best to eat healthy, balanced meals! Whether that is meal-prepping ahead of time or what- don't let that slip! (I can help you with that individually if you would like, just connect with me on FB and send a PM).
+Get together with other wives. If you are feeling lonely, they are likely feeling the same way. No one gets it like another coach wife and it's such a great feeling to build up that comraderie with other wives!
+Find a project you have been wanting to do, and do it! Whether it's painting or distressing a furniture piece, cleaning out a room (or rooms) in your house, experimenting with some recipes, doing that workout you have been dying to try, connecting with a friend you have lost touch with...whatever it may be! Camp season is the perfect time to do the things that you have been wanting to do but haven't had time for.
+Finally, be understanding of his schedule and in knowing that his is a part of the job. Our family has had a few job opportunities come from connections made at camps, so you just never know! It's also important to be extra patient with them since they are getting minimal sleep and may be outside for the majority of the day.
As his wife/fiance/girlfriend, YOU are his better half! So it's important to invest in yourself during these times while also being a great support to him. If you have some other suggestions or ideas of what to do during camp season, leave a comment below!
Thank you for being here :)
